Step-by-step guide to communicating and co-interpreting results with your team.

Once you are part of a team, you may want to communicate with the team for various reasons including co-interpreting the results. This how-to shares how to do that directly from the mobile app.

Once you are logged into the mobile app—

i) Use the SEARCH feature or navigate to open one of your observations

ii) Scroll to the bottom (below the field note, observation details) to TEAMS — this indicates all the teams (or projects) that this observation was shared with (based on sharing preferences, location, activity/sampling method, and observations).

iii) Select the team you want to communicate with.

This will open the teams (projects) details —

Each tab shows different aspects of this project (further details and more in-depth results can be found in the eOceans web-based dashboard).

iv) Scroll to the “Comments” tab — there, you can discuss the project and the projects results with this team.

*You will receive ONE notification about comments in this Team, but further notifications will not be sent unless you make a comment (informing the system that you are interested in this team’s dialogue).

Screenshots of a team profile app. The first screen shows a header with mountains and trees, a logo, and details of a project in a box. There are options to unfollow or join the project, and information about the number of admins, members, and followers. Below are navigation options for description, overview, and location. The second screen shows comments on the project, with a comment input box, a post button, and a comment from a user named Christine Ward-Paige discussing an observation, with options to view observations and results, and a button to discuss with the team.
